Glitches are... mistakes. Errors in computer code that have evolved beyond their original form, taking control of their imperfections to become powerful (and dangerous) entities.
Since the creation of Cyberscape, despite being maintained by the world's most skilled engineers, Glitches have existed and caused issues for both developers and users of the digital world. Small errors in code may seem benign, but the nature of Cyberscape's unique "Intelligent Virtual Environment" allows these errors to absorb the code around them and change their makeup, seemingly without human intervention.
With how fast computers are able to process and learn new information, Glitches can mutate at blinding speeds and become something entirely different from their original form in very short spans of time. They are also capable of self-replication, and destroying a single Glitch may have little impact if it has already cloned itself dozens (or hundreds!) of times.
Roaming freely through Cyberscape, Glitches come in many shapes and sizes, and some are more hostile than others. Some are downright destructive. Since invading the Cloud, the online storage system that does not rely on physical computers to operate, Glitches cannot be destroyed by deleting code or even entire hard drives. Even specially coded Anti-Glitch entities are unable to permanently erase a Glitch from the digital matrix. It seems they must be defeated in combat by an avatar based in the real world, though scientists are still trying to understand how this works.
Enter: the Sukajan Senshi Glitch Gang. Senshi who have extensive knowledge of Cyberscape, and powerful Avatars to travel within it, have created a taskforce dedicated to tracking, trapping and destroying Glitches wherever they exist. Recently Glitches have been sighted crossing the barrier between Cyberscape and Virtua City, posing an even bigger threat to citizens as they are no longer safe by simply remaining offline.
As the abilities and reaches of Glitches evolve, so must the Sukajan Senshi Glitch Gang evolve their methods and tools used to address the increasing threat of Glitches before they become entirely out of control.
